At Haven, we use evidence-based, trauma-informed, neuroscience-backed methods — including creative expression, play, gentle sensory activities, and movement — to help children and teens process emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. Guided by trained art psychotherapists, our personalised sessions feel like play — yet are thoughtfully designed to calm the nervous system, bring hidden feelings to light, and strengthen emotional awareness.

Art therapy offers a unique, non-intrusive avenue for self-expression, allowing children to share thoughts and emotions they may not be able to put into words. In our safe, non-judgmental space, your child gains the tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence — supported every step of the way by their dedicated Haven art therapist, parents, and the school in close partnership.

Why Art Therapy?

Children and teens don’t always have the words to explain how they feel — but their art can speak for them.

We support toddlers, children, and teens — from 4 months to 18 years — to heal from difficult experiences, find calm, and build resilience when words are not enough.

Our child-centric approach benefits all children, and is particularly supportive for those who:

  • Enjoy creative arts

  • Are too young or struggle to express themselves emotionally through words

  • Need more movement and sensory engagement

  • Feel too anxious when asked to talk about their feelings

Sessions may be conducted:

  • At our child-friendly, sea-facing, calming clinic

  • Online (via secure video sessions)

  • In-person at your home

  • At your child’s school

We had a truly a transformational journey with Haven Art Therapy!

Our daughter was struggling to express and manage her emotions since she was 2. Under our pediatrician’s recommendation, we started attending art therapy classes with Chloe and she literally walked out of the first lesson a different kid.

We have been working with Chloe for more than 2 years now and the early intervention shows. Even though our kid is well now, we continue to bring her as there is always something therapy can help, just like for adults.

Dear Chloe,

It is difficult for us to put into words how grateful we are for the support that you have provided to Caleb and our family. It is remarkable what a profound impact you have had on Caleb and his well being. You and the studio have been a safe space for him to process and grow. We deeply appreciate all you have done to help us both connect with Caleb more. You have provided us all with greater skills for the future. We will have so many memories to take back with us to the US. Thank you for making our Saturday afternoons so much fun . We will miss you!
